In a move that belies his campaign trail disavowals, President-elect Donald Trump has tapped Russell Vought, one of the masterminds of Project 2025’s sweeping vision of Christian Nationalist governance, as his nominee for Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Former ICE Director Tom Homan has been announced as the second Trump administration’s “border czar,” and will be in charge of overseeing the northern and southern borders, along with maritime and aviation security. According to Trump, Homan “will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”
Mike Huckabee’s nomination as U.S. Ambassador to Israel marks a significant shift in American diplomacy, elevating a figure known for three decades of anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and policy actions to a crucial diplomatic post.
Linda McMahon, a longtime Trump supporter, is the co-founder and former president of the scandal-plagued World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). McMahon has no background in education other than a short stint on Connecticut’s Board of Education, which she resigned just prior to a report being released showing that she lied about her own education.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has a history of making rabidly anti-immigrant statements and has advocated for anti-LGBTQ+ policies. She regularly claims the border is a “warzone” and that immigration from Mexico is an “invasion,” language directly tied to the“Great Replacement” conspiracy theory.
Fox News host Pete Hegseth, a Christian Nationalist with extreme views on Muslims and the U.S. military, was nominated by President-Elect Donald Trump for Secretary of Defense in November 2024. Prior to the nomination, Hegseth made bigoted remarks about the Muslim community in his books and on Fox News that testify to his profound belief in the white nationalist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory.

Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz’s nomination by Trump for Attorney General is under fire for multiple allegations that he paid women for sex, including a 17-year-old, before resigning from the House of Representatives when he received his nomination.
President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence marks a stunning evolution for the former democratic congresswoman from Hawaii. Gabbard’s trajectory from extremist roots to progressive politician to MAGA mouthpiece and a potential member of Trump’s cabinet reflects deeper questions about religious influence, cultural politics and national security.
Brendan Carr, already an FCC commissioner nominated by Trump in 2017, authored Project 2025’s chapter on the FCC. Project 2025, a blueprint for authoritarianism in the U.S. for a second Trump term, envisions transforming the traditionally independent FCC into an unprecedented mechanism for controlling public discourse.
