Racist Gaming Launched by the White House, Australia and New Zealand Country Extremist Reports

New from GPAHE: The White House Releases Racist Video Games

The White House has turned anti-immigrant rhetoric into interactive games. A new arcade.gov website launched the games “Build the Wall” and “Rio Run,” that depict migrants as targets to be stopped, rounded up, or imprisoned. The move comes as extremist movements have increasingly exploited gaming platforms to spread white supremacist and anti-immigrant propaganda, including efforts to recruit young people. GPAHE’s research has documented how these networks use platforms such as Roblox to reach children and normalize extremist ideas. By adopting the same tactics, the Trump administration is bringing racist gaming content from the fringes of the internet onto an official White House platform.

New from GPAHE: Updated Australia Country Report and New Zealand Country Report

An updated GPAHE country report examines how Australia’s far right is gaining political ground while extremist networks adapt and persist. The report tracks One Nation’s growing influence, the continued activity of neo-Nazi and anti-LGBTQ+ groups, and the movement’s expanding ties to far-right networks across the globe.

And, a new GPAHE country report finds that New Zealand’s far right remains active despite efforts to disrupt extremist networks following the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks. The report documents the rise of neo-Nazi and white nationalist groups, their growing international connections, and the spread of “remigration.” It shows how extremist movements are adapting and repackaging racist ideas as mainstream political demands.

Together, the Australia and New Zealand reports highlight how far-right movements across the region are adapting to changing political environments while strengthening international connections. From electoral politics and organized neo-Nazi activity to the growing promotion of “remigration,” both reports document how extremist ideas are moving beyond fringe networks and gaining greater political visibility.

The 19th – What Trump’s new study says about support for trans rights — and why experts are worried

An HHS study claims that support for transgender people is linked to political violence, but researchers and experts are raising serious concerns about its methodology, ethics and political implications. GPAHE warns the report could be used to portray trans people and their allies as security threats. Wendy Via, co-founder of GPAHE says, “When I first saw this report, the first thing I thought was that the administration is trying to build its case to finally designate ‘transgender ideology’ as a category of domestic terrorism.” The study raises urgent concerns about how politically charged research could be used to shape government policy and justify attacks against marginalized communities.
