New from GPAHE: International Far Right Creating Its Own Higher Education Institutions

The international far-right is establishing its own universities to push extremist ideologies and influence the next generation of leaders. These institutions, such as Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) based in Hungary with campuses in Brussels and throughout Eastern Europe and deep ties to the U.S., Centro de Estudios Universitarios

(Center for University Studies, CEU) in Spain, and New College in Florida and Hillsdale College in Michigan, are part of a broader strategy to challenge mainstream academia, which they accuse of being “woke” and hostile to conservative values. Unlike traditional universities, these centers focus on political indoctrination, anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, and nationalist propaganda, while collaborating with far-right political figures and think tanks globally. As these institutions gain influence, they pose a significant threat to academic integrity and the values of an open society.

New from GPAHE: The Far Right Loses It Over Black Woman In Minecraft Trailer

The release of the Minecraft movie trailer, featuring Oscar-winning actress Danielle Brooks, has triggered a wave of racist backlash from far-right groups, highlighting a deep-rooted issue at the intersection of gaming, entertainment, and extremism. This incident underscores how gaming culture remains a fertile ground for extremists who resist diversity and use popular media to promote hate and violence. From targeting individuals like Brooks to organized campaigns against so-called “woke” media, extremists continue to weaponize entertainment against inclusivity.

The Guardian: Republicans’ non-citizen voting myth sets stage to claim stolen election

“These attacks on non-citizens and voters are part and parcel of the great replacement conspiracy theory. They’re indistinguishable,” said Heidi Beirich, co-founder of GPAHE.

GPAHE’s take: The Guardian’s latest highlights a recurring myth perpetuated by the far-right movement —that non-citizens are voting in U.S. elections, threatening the integrity of the democratic process. This narrative is deeply rooted in the “great replacement conspiracy theory,” which falsely asserts that white Americans are being displaced by non-white immigrants who are assumed to vote a certain way. These attacks on non-citizens and voters are inseparable from the larger, dangerous ideology fueling xenophobia and anti-immigrant policies.

GPAHE Founders Highlight Project 2025’s Threats to LGBTQ+ Rights in Horizons Foundation Forum

On September 25, Horizons Foundation hosted Wendy Via and Heidi Beirich, co-founders of GPAHE for a webinar discussing Project 2025 and its alarming implications for LGBTQ+ rights and women. The so-called “2025 Presidential Transition Project” aims to use federal power to enforce “traditional family values” and advance a Christian Nationalist agenda, threatening LGBTQ+ equality and human rights. As Project 2025 becomes a focal point in national discourse, it’s critical to understand what is at stake.
