Project 2025 Is Here: May 15th

As authoritarian governance takes hold, GPAHE continues to expose the actors behind this movement, document the policy shifts underway, and provide critical tools for resisting the far-right’s dangerous agenda.
Our blog series provides essential updates on how Project 2025’s authoritarian blueprint is being enacted. Now you can view all of our Project 2025 blog posts in one convenient place on our website. We encourage you to explore this series to stay informed and engaged.

New from GPAHE: Far-Right Europeans Gathering To Plan A Continental Ethnic Cleansing
Hundreds of far-right extremists from across Europe are gathering in Italy for a “Remigration Summit” aimed at promoting the mass deportation of non-white people from the continent—regardless of citizenship. The plan, rooted in the white nationalist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, is backed by neo-Nazis, violent extremists, and far-right political parties. As these ideas gain traction internationally, including an endorsement by Trump, the summit marks a dangerous step toward mainstreaming calls for ethnic cleansing.

New from GPAHE: Trump’s Mass Deportation Plans Mirror European White Nationalist’s Scheme to Ethnically Cleanse the Continent
Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan isn’t just cruel—it’s ideologically aligned with a European white nationalist blueprint for ethnic cleansing. The plan for “remigration,” a term once used by Trump and rooted in the racist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, was popularized by Austrian white nationalist Martin Sellner. It calls for the forced removal of migrants, including citizens, from Europe over a 30-year period. Since returning to power, Trump has echoed elements of Sellner’s playbook—from militarized deportations to the erasure of Black, Indigenous, and people of color history—mirroring a broader transnational effort to enforce racial and cultural homogeneity under the guise of “patriotism.”

New from GPAHE: Trump’s Attacks on American Universities are Textbook Authoritarian Tactics
Trump’s second term is unleashing a ruthless purge across U.S. universities—cutting funding for diversity initiatives and climate research, demanding political loyalty, and targeting professors branded as “woke.” Trump’s attacks on American universities echo those of other authoritarian regimes—from Orbán’s Hungary to Modi’s India—where executive power is used to silence dissent, shut down research, and intimidate students and scholars. This isn’t just a policy shift; it’s a textbook autocratic crackdown that threatens to crush academic freedom and turn campuses into far right propagators for ideological control nationwide.

PBS – ‘Lives are at stake’: Judge whose son was murdered urges leaders to end hostile rhetoric
GPAHE’S take: A PBS NewsHour interview with Judge Esther Salas highlights the growing danger facing members of the judiciary, as political rhetoric turns increasingly hostile. Salas—whose son was murdered by a disgruntled lawyer posing as a delivery driver—joined Amna Nawaz to discuss the real-world consequences of threats against judges. PBS cited a recent report from GPAHE that found that threats and calls for impeachment against judges rose by 327% between May 2024 and March 2025. Salas warns that when leaders use inflammatory language, they create an environment where violence becomes more likely—and lives are at stake.

WIRED – Violent Threats Against US Judges Are Skyrocketing Online
“There’s no question that we’re seeing a normalization of bigoted, violent, and other harmful speech on mainstream platforms,” Wendy Via, CEO and president of GPAHE, tells WIRED. “Trump and other extreme influencers’ threatening and mean-spirited posts and public comments has moved the once unthinkable to commonplace, online, in our communities, and in our political discourse, without thought to the very real dangers of regularly demonizing those that oppose you.”
GPAHE’S take: Violent threats and calls for impeachment against U.S. judges have surged by 327 percent over the past year, according to research from GPAHE. While such rhetoric was once largely confined to fringe spaces like Gab and 4chan, it now appears regularly on mainstream platforms including TikTok and X—often mirroring language used by influential figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk to attack the judiciary. The article highlights how extremist and politically charged attacks on the judiciary are becoming normalized, with dangerous real-world consequences such as bomb threats, swatting incidents, and increased security concerns for judges and their families.
