Alliance Defending Freedom International has aligned itself with Elon Musk in X’s legal battle against the fine imposed under the EU’s Digital Services Act, even as Grok faces mounting international investigations over sexualized deepfake images, including of minors. The first penalty issued under the DSA cited transparency failures and deceptive platform practices, but ADFI framed the sanction as an assault on “free speech.” Its intervention comes amid findings that Grok generated sexualized content involving children. The support underscores a striking contradiction for an organization that brands itself as a defender of women, children, and “family values,” while backing a company under global scrutiny for AI-generated exploitation content and resisting regulatory efforts aimed at curbing disinformation and abuse.

Anti-Muslim extremist Tommy Robinson has been allowed entry into the United States despite a record of criminal convictions, violence, and immigration violations that previously kept him out. The founder of the far-right English Defence League has past assault convictions and ties to movements that have inspired terrorist violence, including admiration from the neo-Nazi Norwegian mass shooter, who murdered 77 people in an attack fueled by Islamophobia in 2011. After years of failed visa attempts, and a prior illegal entry using a false passport, Robinson now claims allies close to Trump helped secure his admission. Since arriving, he has appeared alongside figures such as Kari Lake and Michael Flynn while launching a media campaign to boost his far-right organizing in the UK. His arrival raises urgent questions about who our government believes “align with American values” when granting access to our country.

Formal bans may dismantle a group’s public identity, but the underlying infrastructure often remains intact, allowing recruitment and radicalization to continue.
