Former Austrian neo-Nazi Martin Sellner has launched the Institute for Remigration (IFR), an organization designed to mainstream his “remigration” agenda across Europe. The proposal calls for the forced removal of asylum seekers, legal migrants, and even citizens classified as “non-assimilated,” advancing a vision of ethnic cleansing rooted in the “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory. A longtime figure in the Identitarian movement, Sellner has deep ties across the transnational far right. With claims of building a professional staff and a Vienna headquarters, the establishment of IFR sounds an alarm that far-right, racist deportation proposals, similar to what’s happening in the U.S., could become part of mainstream European politics.
