GPAHE Brings You the Latest News in Far-Right Hate and Extremism
Project 2025 Is Here: June 4th
This week, Russ Vought denies that Project 2025 is driving policy in the Trump regime, the humanitarian status promised to hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants is unilaterally revoked in accordance with Project 2025’s immigration policies, how Trump’s Project 2025 policy puts pregnant women’s lives at risk, and how a legal challenge targets Christian nationalist Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point empire.
As authoritarian governance takes hold, GPAHE continues to expose the actors behind this movement, document the policy shifts underway, and provide critical tools for resisting the far-right’s dangerous agenda.

New from GPAHE: Faith as a Weapon: Inside America’s Theocratic Vanguard
A new investigation by GPAHE, reveals how Christian nationalist movements, the New Apostolic Reformation, and Catholic Integralism have become powerful forces reshaping U.S. politics. The report exposes how these religious factions helped catalyze the January 6 attack and are now driving Trump’s authoritarian push from inside the government. It also reveals how Project 2025—a blueprint for Christian nationalist governance—is being advanced by key figures using their government positions to dismantle federal agencies, rewrite education policy, and impose a repressive, theocratic agenda. With detailed profiles, ideological analysis, and a glossary of key terms, Faith as a Weapon is essential for understanding how religion is being strategically weaponized to dismantle democracy and reshape the nation.
Watch the report briefing with Heidi, Wendy, and featuring Rev. Jennifer Butler.
The virtual briefing examined the Christian nationalist influence on the Trump administration and its authoritarian goals, as well as how these movements are driving federal policy, emboldening political violence, and threatening American democracy.
Accompanying the report is an article that outlines the movement and its leaders through 10 key points—highlighting their push for religious rule, consolidation of political power, billionaire backing, embrace of Catholic Integralism, and efforts to criminalize dissent. Together, the report and article offer a clear, accessible guide to understanding how religion is being strategically weaponized to reshape the nation.

New from GPAHE: The Trump Administration, its Christian Nationalist Allies, and the European Far Right Take Aim at the EU’s Digital Services Act
The Trump administration and its Christian nationalist allies have launched a transatlantic campaign against the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), framing its content moderation requirements as a threat to “free speech” and “religious freedom.” With backing from far-right European politicians and legal groups like Alliance Defending Freedom International, the effort aims to undermine regulations that target hate speech, disinformation, and algorithmic opacity—pillars of post-WWII European democratic protections. Their campaign echoes broader transatlantic efforts to roll back regulations that curb extremist and anti-LGBTQ+ content online.

NPR – European CPACs show the growing unity of the global far-right
“It shows, once again, that the far-right is no longer policing itself from white supremacists, you know, disinformation specialists, extremists, that they’re all in the mix.,” said Heidi Beirich, GPAHE co-founder.
GPAHE’S take: A new All Things Considered program from NPR examines how European editions of the American CPAC have become a nexus for the global far-right. Featuring insight from GPAHE’s Heidi Beirich, the piece highlights how far-right movements now openly align with white supremacists and other extremists. The result is a transnational coalition where U.S. officials share the stage with extremists—normalizing their ideas on a global scale.

Politico – The Conservative Christian Lobby that’s Spending Big in Brussels
“ADF’s significantly increased lobbying budget and presence in Brussels will have a profound effect on the rights of LGBTQ+ people and women as ADF works to codify their restrictive social views in Europe, sowing discord and upending settled policies regardless of what the people of Europe believe and want,” Wendy Via, co-founder of GPAHE, told POLITICO. “ADF has spent decades in the U.S. working to restrict the rights of people according to their biblical world view through the courts and legislation, and they’re determined to do the same in the EU.”
GPAHE’S take: A U.S.-based Christian group, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), is rapidly expanding its influence in Brussels, doubling its lobbying budget to over €1.1 million. Known for its role in overturning Roe v. Wade, ADF is now targeting EU policies on abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, and anti-discrimination protections. “ADF is determined to codify their restrictive biblical worldview into EU law, regardless of what Europeans want,” warned Wendy, calling the group’s growing footprint a direct threat to human rights.
