GPAHE’S take: Political violence in the U.S. has surged to historic levels in 2025, with assassinations, arson attacks, and embassy shootings shaking the country’s political landscape. In an increasingly volatile climate, threats come from across the ideological spectrum, amplified by incendiary discourse from elected officials and influential figures. This dehumanizing rhetoric is fueling vigilante action and undermining democracy.

The Guardian – Clouded in mystery’: how ICE became a rogue agency that does Trump’s bidding
“The fact that they won’t identify themselves in many cases that have been reported on makes this all the more ominous. It’s part of Trump’s authoritarian playbook to have people arrested by agents who don’t give their names or their agencies and just sweep people off the street into unmarked vehicles,” warns Heidi Beirich, co-founder of GPAHE, citing reports of arrests by unidentified agents.
