GPAHE’s take: A new episode of the podcast Sky News Daily investigates “Return to the Land,” a whites-only settlement in Arkansas that openly rejects non-white residents. In this podcast, GPAHE Co-Founder Heidi Beirich explains how the group’s rhetoric reflects a broader resurgence of white nationalism in the United States.
In a companion interview, Beirich called the whites only housing development “clearly illegal” noting that “it’s illegal to have a project where you’re selling land or property on the basis of race.” She warned that the creation of exclusionary, race-based enclaves signals the growing normalization of white nationalist ideas across the country.
