The Guardian: Key Oath Keepers leader revealed as former Las Vegas police detective

GPAHE’s take: Bobby Kinch, a former Las Vegas police detective, has been revealed as the leader of Oath Keepers USA, a right-wing militia group. Kinch, who faced internal investigations over extremist rhetoric, including advocating for a “race war,” now heads a spinoff of the national Oath Keepers organization. Heidi warns that individuals connected to groups like Oath Keepers—whose leader is imprisoned for seditious conspiracy—should clearly not be employed by law enforcement. ____________________________________________________________________________
WIRED: Before Las Vegas, Intel Analysts Warned That Bomb Makers Were Turning to AI
“Terrorgram’s ongoing and aggressive encouragement of violent accelerationist acts is growing more frightening,” said Wendy Via, co-founder and CEO of the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism. “The landscape for potential political violence in 2025 will be volatile.”
GPAHE’s take: The use of AI tools in extremist attacks is an alarming development, as demonstrated in the recent Las Vegas explosion. An active-duty military member used AI to gather bomb-making instructions before blowing up a rented cybertruck. Intelligence agencies have been raising alarms about the increasing reliance on AI by domestic extremists and the dangers of accelerationists who wish to violently destroy our government and society in order to rebuild it in their image. A growing target of these extremists is infrastructure, including power grids.
