GPAHE Brings You the Latest News in Far-Right Hate and Extremism

Military.com: Dozens of Troops Suspected of Advocating Overthrow of US Government, New Pentagon Extremism Report Says

“An annual Pentagon report on extremism within the ranks reveals that 78 service members were suspected of advocating for the overthrow of the U.S. government and another 44 were suspected of engaging or supporting terrorism.”

GPAHE’s take: We work to expose extremist threats to the U.S. military and veterans, particularly dangers posed by accelerationist neo-Nazi militia movements. We educate lawmakers on the importance of taking this threat seriously and have made recommendations to the Armed Service committee members and the Department of Defense. The most recent funding package reflects some of our efforts.

Vice: Meet the ‘Entrepreneur of Hate’ Behind the Ride of Canadian Neo-Nazi Fight Clubs

“Nippak is a 25-year-old Ontario man who, for years now, has dedicated his life to spreading hatred; he was a founding member of the Canadian offshoot of Atomwaffen, a group that has been connected to five murders and is designated a terrorist organization in Canada. What’s more, Nippak isn’t just a key player in building the Active Club scene in Canada—he’s helped the group spread overseas as well.”

GPAHE’s take: GPAHE has documented an alarming proliferation of neo-Nazi groups identifying as Active Clubs across Canada, the U.S., and Europe and shared it with policymakers and law enforcement. These groups cleverly mask their extremist agendas under the guise of community and fitness activities but are really an effective, transnational recruiting tool for young men.pastedGraphic.png

The Guardian: Russia outlaws ‘international LGBT public movement’ as extremist

“Russia’s supreme court has outlawed what it called an “international LGBT public movement” as extremist, in a landmark ruling that representatives of gay and transgender people warn will lead to arrests and prosecutions of the already repressed LGBTQ+ community.”

GPAHE’s take: This terrifying development is another step in the normalization of the global dehumanization of LGBTQ+ people under the guise of religious freedom and a prelude to backsliding democracies. There is no such thing as LGBTQ+ ideology or a global movement to persuade people to change their identity. GPAHE has exposed the far-right extremists and Christian Nationalists behind this movement in our report, From America with Hate and also analyzed a Russian anti-LGBTQ+ website with global reach that references American groups as its sources.pastedGraphic.png

Daily Beast: The Violent and Extreme History of Mike Johnson’s Old Legal Clients

“Johnson’s ardent religious beliefs and Christian nationalist ideology brought him to serve, often for free, clients affiliated with some of the nation’s most extreme anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ groups in the country—including agitators connected to militant movements with a penchant for violent expression.”

GPAHE’s take: Johnson cut his teeth on these discriminatory and regressive issues working for the powerful, anti-LGBTQ+ group, Alliance Defending Freedom, a major supporter of Project 2025. Johnson’s new position as Speaker of the House clears the path for Project 2025, an authoritarian blueprint which undermines democratic principles, marginalizes women and LGBTQ+ people, and takes the advancement of civil rights back decades. Our recent analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of Project 2025 and its perilous objectives.
