GPAHE’s take: A recent article from the Los Angeles Times highlights the disturbing surge in misogynistic rhetoric within the “manosphere” following the U.S. election. Fueled by far-right ideologies, this movement has increasingly targeted women with threats of violence and demeaning language, emboldened by figures like Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. GPAHE’s report reveals how fringe platforms like 4chan have become spaces for these toxic ideologies, with alarming calls for “rape squads” and references to The Handmaid’s Tale. This rising online extremism underscores the dangerous intersection of misogyny, far-right politics, and real-world violence.

USA Today: Pentagon study on military extremism used old data to downplay problem
“It’s a shame that a shoddy report by the Pentagon gives an opening to views like Hegseth’s and will perpetuate a head-in-the-sand approach to a serious national security issue,” said Beirich, co-founder of GPAHE, and an expert in extremist movements who has testified before Congress about extremism in the military.
