These appointments, coupled with Project 2025’s sweeping blueprint for governmental overhaul, underscore a coordinated effort to consolidate power and undermine democratic norms.

New York Times: Far-Right Militias Seek Role in Trump Deportation Plan
“The dangers are considerable and could include militias engaging in violence against immigrants,” said Heidi Beirich, a co-founder of the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism. “Besides, these groups exist outside the legal rules that federal agents would have to follow. So under what authority would they even be taking part in this?”
GPAHE’s take: Far-right militias, long associated with vigilante border patrols, are now offering their services for Trump’s deportation plans, reflecting a troubling shift of fringe ideas into federal policy discussions. Groups like the Texas Three Percenters and Arizona Border Recon claim they can supplement federal agents, despite operating outside legal frameworks. Experts and immigrant advocates caution this could escalate logistical and security challenges while enabling dangerous precedents.
