Talk of the mythical Aryan “homeland,” Agartha, is spreading quickly across platforms like Instagram, driving this esoteric Nazi idea further into the mainstream. What may look like harmless aesthetics, with blond figures and landscapes, is also fueling student harassment campaigns targeting teachers by race and religion, echoing neo-Nazi fantasies of exclusion. As influencers and even corporations like the restaurant KFC amplify AI-generated Agartha content, extremists including Austrian white nationalist Martin Sellner are using the moment to amplify and normalize hateful ideology. Meta’s failure to act shows once again how the platform enables extremist narratives and allows a meme to escalate into a real-world threat.

Meta removed a handful of antisemitic posts after GPAHE exposed major influencers using Instagram to promote Nazi imagery and Holocaust denial, yet the platform continues to allow misogyny, anti-Black racism, and anti-Arab hate to flourish. Even as Meta took down neo-Nazi content from accounts like Dylan Shane and Jake Shields, it left equally dangerous content unchecked, like Hayden McDougall’s misogynistic and racist slurs, alongside white supremacist propaganda. This underscores a dangerous pattern: Meta selectively enforces its rules, reacts only under pressure, and enables creators to monetize hate at scale, fueling the normalization of extremist ideologies across its platforms.

PBS Newshour – Critics concerned over ICE’s hiring, training standards.
ICE’s unprecedented recruitment campaign is raising alarms. The agency has loosened hiring standards, blanketed social media with militarized imagery, and rolled out ads that increasingly include white supremacist and far-right propaganda. As Wendy Via, co-founder of GPAHE warns, “They’re normalizing extremism, but also warping what it means to be a person who protects your country.” And the message to recruits, she says is explicit: “The recruitment for the new staff is very much saying, come with us and we’re going to make America different than what it is. They present it as a violent but white place.” These messages are dangerously building the infrastructure for state-backed extremism.

NPR – ‘Remigration,’ once a fringe idea, becomes a mantra for the Trump administration
The Trump administration’s embrace of the term “remigration” marks the mainstreaming of a concept born in Europe’s white nationalist movement. The term, as Heidi Beirich, co-founder of GPAHE, explains, is a blueprint for “ethnically cleansing or forcibly deporting from traditionally white countries everybody who’s not white.” Racists propose remigration as the “solution” to the Great Replacement conspiracy theory, which contends nonwhite immigrants are purposely being brought to countries to diminish wite power. Once confined to racist networks, the idea has now been adopted by the Trump adminisration, which is putting white nationalist ideas into policy.
