Together with World Jewish Congress, the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations, and the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations, the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism was honored to co-sponsor the panel Trends in Financing Far-Right Extremism as part of the 2021 United Nations Counter-Terrorism week. The overarching theme of the discussion band was,“Countering and Preventing Terrorism in the Age of Transformative Technologies: Addressing the Challenges of the New Decade.”
For the panel, we brought together experts from different backgrounds to discuss the impact of a global pandemic and the financing of far-right violent extremism, in particular the improper use of cryptocurrency, the selling of hate merchandise and the use of social media for financing extremist individuals and groups and their dangerous activities.
Watch the fascinating and informative discussion.
