On November 20, the White House press corps welcomed a new member. Francisco Javier García Negre, a Spanish agitator known as Javier Negre, was the first to ask a question during Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s conference. He was seated in the “new media seat” created by the Trump administration for journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators who, in their words, produce “legitimate news content.”
During a briefing watched by hundreds of thousands of viewers, Negre used his question time to unveil his new U.S. project: a Spanish-language channel launched by the conservative outlet Real America’s Voice (RAV), the network that hosts the shows of Steve Bannon, conspiracist Jack Posobiec, and the recently deceased Charlie Kirk.
In his announcement, he also delivered an attack on major Spanish-language outlets in the U.S., including Univision, Telemundo, and CNN en Español, accusing them of “spreading fake news and attacking ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) operations.”
The goal of launching RAV’s new Spanish-language channel is to influence the U.S. “community of Spanish-speaking patriots” and to expand the MAGA media ecosystem specifically for Latino audiences.

Negre has been convicted in Spain for unethical journalistic behavior. He is closely linked to the far right in Latin America, and has appeared at several CPAC events, including Argentina and Mexico in 2024, and Paraguay in 2025. His pseudo–media outlets in Spain and Argentina often spread disinformation and push content aligned with the Spanish far-right party Vox and the views of Argentine President Javier Milei.
In June, Negre registered a company in Florida called Right News Inc., matching the name of his new show on RAV, “The Right News Show.” Since then, he has gained close access to Trump and his administration. In September, he interviewed Leavitt at the White House, and one day after Kirk’s assassination, he was able to question Trump at the president’s residence. “What do you think about the media that justifies the murder of Charlie Kirk?” he asked.
Praising Trump
As part of his expansion into the U.S. MAGA media ecosystem, Negre joined the ownership of UHN Plus in October. The Miami-based platform circulates disinformation in Spanish, as the fact-checking organization Factchequeado has reported. Its main weapon is its X (formerly Twitter) account, which has more than one million followers.
Negre makes no attempt to hide his support for authoritarian and far-right leaders. Since arriving in the U.S., he has openly praised the president. “Trump is the best president in America’s history,” he declared recently on RAV’s American Sunrise.
On social media, he boasts about his visits to Mar-a-Lago, calling it “a privilege” for those “fighting against the left.” He made that remark in November when he posted photos allegedly taken at Trump’s resort on Instagram.

The Trump administration is facing a significant backlash from Latino voters due to its racist immigration policies and flailing economic initiatives. Majorities of U.S. Latinos disapprove of the president’s handling of immigration and the economy, according to a Pew Research Center poll released in November. About four in five respondents said Trump’s policies harm Hispanics. It is the first time in nearly two decades of Pew Research Center Hispanic surveys that the majority of Latinos (68 percent) reported that their situation has worsened. Overall, 65 percent of Latinos disapprove of the administration’s approach to immigration.
Targeting the U.S. Latino Community
This widespread discontent reflects the impact of Trump’s agenda—penalizing Spanish speakers, conducting random ICE raids in Latino communities, and fueling anti-immigrant rhetoric—which has damaged his support among these voters. In response, outlets aligned with MAGA have intensified their efforts to sway the Latino community. Bringing Negre into the fold is part of those efforts.

“If you pay attention to what the fake-news media funded by globalists like Soros say, you’d think ICE, under President Trump, arrests people at random just for speaking Spanish. This is not serious,” Negre said on his Spanish-language show on November 23, as he sought to mislead viewers about ICE’s methods. In reality, immigration enforcement has repeatedly targeted people for speaking Spanish, and, in fact, the Supreme Court has even endorsed this type of racist profiling in ruling related to Los Angeles ICE raids.
Anti-LGBTQ+ Rhetoric
Several figures from international far-right movements appeared among his first guests on the show, including Santiago Abascal, president of the Spanish far-right party Vox; Agustín Laje, an Argentinian political scientist known for his homophobic rhetoric and an ally of Javier Milei; and Eduardo Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, who was sentenced in 2025 to more than 27 years in prison for plotting a military coup and seeking to “annihilate” the South American country’s democracy.
Negre also interviewed Liz Truss, the former prime minister of the United Kingdom, who recently launched a new YouTube show inspired by the MAGA movement.
On the U.S. side, he brought on Danielle Alvarez, Trump’s former campaign spokeswoman; Vianca Rodríguez, previously the Republican National Committee’s deputy Hispanic communications director; Driena Sixto, former media spokesperson at Turning Point Action, and pro-MAGA YouTube influencer Nick Shirley, who has more than one million subscribers.

His show also included homophobic rhetoric. Roberto Hidalgo, a Costa Rican guest introduced as a “Christian influencer,” spoke while wearing a MAGA hat and asserted that what he called the “gay gene” and “the trans” are “incompatible,” “anti-Christian,” and “deserves to be eliminated because it is objectively trash.”
Featuring international far-right figures
The effort to amplify far-right narratives and disinformation for different audiences continued during Negre’s conversation with Eduardo Bolsonaro. Negre claimed that the charges against Jair Bolsonaro were “invented” and insisted that the former Brazilian president is in jail only because he is “surging in the polls” ahead of the 2026 elections.
Another one of his pseudo–media outlets, the Argentina-based La Derecha Diario (“The Daily Right”), previously falsely claimed that Brazil is a “dictatorship,” when it published a photo of Bolsonaro in prison on X. The post has more than 2,000 retweets and nearly half a million views. In another tweet, the outlet referred to Brazil’s democratically-elected president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, as a “dictator” and a “son of a bitch.”
La Derecha Diario is one of the main digital disseminators of far-right ideas in Latin America, according to a journalistic investigation by El País into the region’s online ecosystem.

Even before Negre arrived in the United States in June, the Spanish commentator already had a questionable professional background. In 2019, a Spanish court convicted him for publishing an interview that a female abuse victim, whose partner murdered two other women, had never granted him. The police had warned the victim to remain anonymous for her own safety.
Convicted in Spain
According to the ruling, reported by Spanish national media, when the victim refused to speak with Negre, he “began pressuring her via WhatsApp to meet with him.” The judge said that Negre’s behavior was “almost bordering on coercion” and that he had published an “untrue” headline. Negre and El Mundo, the newspaper he worked for at the time, were ordered to pay the complainant €30,000 for “an unlawful intrusion into her rights to privacy, honor, and personal image.”
Despite the conviction, one of Negre’s pseudo-media outlets claims that it is “false” that its owner “fabricated” the interview, and states that the case is “a smear campaign.”
According to the fact-checking organization Factchequeado, Negre faced several court rulings from 2021 to 2024 for refusing to retract the “falsehoods” he spread about Rubén Sánchez, an activist and the secretary general of Facua, a Spanish nonprofit consumer rights organization.

Negre’s conduct has also drawn scrutiny in Argentina. In August, the country’s vice president, Victoria Villarruel—who has been at odds with Javier Milei for months—filed a legal complaint against Negre, the owner of the outlet La Derecha Diario, after he and his platform repeatedly called her a “traitor.” Villarruel accused Negre of spreading “fake news designed to undermine the integrity of institutions through fear and intimidation.”
Negre arrived in Argentina in August 2024, according to his Linkedin profile, his first professional experience outside Spain. At the time, he acquired a 50 percent stake in La Derecha Diario by partnering with Fernando Cerimedo, a political consultant who worked as a digital strategy adviser on Javier Milei’s presidential campaign.
In recent months, Cerimedo has emerged as MAGA’s man in Latin America, a role highlighted in a December 9 profile by The Economist. The Argentine political consultant operated in Brazil, supporting the far-right in 2022. After Lula da Silva defeated Jair Bolsonaro, he helped promote the false narrative of electoral fraud.
Cerimedo has also been involved in the Honduran presidential race. He claims to have coordinated Trump’s role in the campaign after the U.S. president posted his endorsement of conservative candidate Nasry Asfura on November 28. Asfura currently holds a narrow lead in the vote count, while his rivals allege fraud.
